Need it? Want it? Want something more? What is a necessity and what is a luxury and how far can you budget stretch?
So many questions about car ownership that it can feel confusing before you even get started. The most important question to consider first is……… Do you really need a car?
Cars get you from A to B quicker than walking. Let’s start with that simple truth. Walking is better for your health, the environment and your pocket. Is it really practical to walk everywhere, especially when you have a week’s worth of grocery shopping and your work bags, school books and sports equipment to carry around.
A Rolls Royce may look good, and may make everyone who sees you in it feel a bit jealous of your success. But it gets you to your destination as fast as a Skoda. So if you feel that you need a car, what car do you need to service your lifestyle?
When looking for a new car, think first what you will use it for. If you have children, you might need help getting them to and from school. Having a family means you might need a car to get your kids to their friends, to go to the shops, or to just get out of the busy loud house.
If you live in the countryside, you might need a car to get you, well, anywhere.
So what is your lifestyle and what elements of your lifestyle require a car?

You then have to consider the size, the budget, the insurance group, the safety standards that you must have and what the car should look like. And if you are getting a car, let’s be clear here, you want a car that looks and feels good.
